This DMV practise tests for Colorado include questions based on the most important traffic signs and limitations from the Colorado Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.

Each practise test question provides a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about road rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as information from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official DMV test.

You must properly answer 20 out of 25 questions to receive the requisite passing grade. To help you prepare for your Colorado instruction permit or driver's licence, take our DMV practise test.

The DMV exam is accessible in a variety of languages.

Using a testing aid of any kind will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take additional action against your driver's licence, so don't do it.

Do you currently have car insurance?

Before you start the test, please answer the following question regarding your insurance status.

Without insurance you will not be able to drive in Colorado

13 . What should you do when you are going to enter a roadway from a private road?

Yield the right-of-way to pedestrians and roadway traffic. When entering a roadway from a driveway or private road, you must yield the right-of-way to pedestrians and traffic on the roadway.

14 . When approaching a traffic signal displaying a flashing yellow arrow, drivers:

Have the right-of-way and may expect oncoming traffic to stop for them. A flashing yellow arrow indicates that left turns are allowed in the direction of the arrow. However, the oncoming traffic has a green light and you must yield to oncoming traffic and pedestrians.

15 . This sign means:

This sign means:
Curve ahead. This sign indicates that a roundabout is ahead. Enter a roundabout at a low speed and yield to existing traffic.

16 . A leaking exhaust system can:

Set grass fires on country roads. The exhaust system helps remove toxic gases, reduce the noise, and cool the hot gases coming from a running engine. Fumes from a leaky exhaust system can cause death in a very short time. They can also make you drowsy while driving.

17 . To help relieve fatigue on a long trip, it is a good idea to:

Change feet on the gas pedal. To avoid becoming fatigued while taking a long trip, stop every two hours for a short break. If you become drowsy, pull off the road and park in a safe place to take a nap, or find a room to stay for the night.

18 . Which statement about speed is true?

Both "Driving too slowly on certain highways can be dangerous" and "Speeding can kill." As speed increases, the chance of a fatality increases. If you are moving faster than 80 miles per hour, you have almost no chance of living through a crash. Driving more slowly than other traffic can also be dangerous because other motorists may become impatient and make dangerous moves to pass you.
