This set of practise tests for the Hawaii DMV include questions based on the most important traffic signs and legislation from the Hawaii Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.

Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as information from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official DMV test.

You must properly answer 24 of the 30 questions to receive a passing mark. To help you prepare for your Hawaii instruction permit or driver's licence, take our DMV practise test.

The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.

Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.

19 . Safety belts:

Can only prevent drivers from injury. Safety belts are life belts. They must be worn at all times when driving or riding in a vehicle. They are the most important personal safety item available in any vehicle.

20 . Increasing your vehicle’s speed:

Has no effect on your field of vision. The faster you drive, the smaller your field of vision becomes. As your speed increases and your field of vision decreases, you must be extra alert to potential hazards.

21 . This road sign means:

This road sign means:
Wildlife preserve. This sign warns that deer cross the roadway in the area. You should slow down, be alert, and be ready to stop.

22 . This road sign means:

This road sign means:
Merging traffic. This sign indicates that a steep downhill grade is ahead.

23 . A steady yellow light at an intersection means:

Stop. A steady yellow light indicates that a steady red light will soon appear. If you are driving toward an intersection and a yellow light appears, slow down and prepare to stop. If you are already within the intersection or cannot stop safely before entering the intersection, continue through carefully.

24 . Two vehicles are driving side by side ahead of your vehicle and you are in a hurry. You should:

Quickly switch back and forth between the lanes. Always allow at least two seconds of space between you and the vehicle in front of you. This allows you room to react to the actions of other drivers. You must always leave adequate space between vehicles, regardless of if you are in a hurry or not.
