This set of practise tests for the Hawaii DMV include questions based on the most important traffic signs and legislation from the Hawaii Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.

Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as information from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official DMV test.

You must properly answer 24 of the 30 questions to receive a passing mark. To help you prepare for your Hawaii instruction permit or driver's licence, take our DMV practise test.

The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.

Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.

Do you currently have car insurance?

Before you start the test, please answer the following question regarding your insurance status.

Without insurance you will not be able to drive in Hawaii

1 . If an aggressive driver cuts you off, you should:

Use a driving action of your own to get back at the aggressive driver. If an aggressive driver cuts you off on the roadway, stay calm and get out of their way. Trying to get even with an aggressive driver risks escalating the situation and increasing the danger.

2 . Your body gets rid of approximately:

None of the above. The average person’s body will process about one alcoholic drink in one hour. However, many factors play a part in determining how impaired a person will become when consuming alcohol, including the amount of alcohol consumed, how fast it is consumed, and a person’s body weight, food intake, and general health.

3 . If a transit vehicle is signaling to re-enter the main roadway following a stop, you must:

Speed up to pass. You must yield to any transit vehicle that is signaling to pull back onto the main roadway after it has stopped to load or unload passengers. Change lanes, slow down, or stop to allow the bus safe re-entry into traffic.

4 . You come to an intersection displaying a flashing red light. You should:

Slow down and be prepared to stop, if necessary. A flashing red traffic light has the same meaning as a stop sign. You must stop, yield the right-of-way, and go once it is safe.

5 . This road sign means:

This road sign means:
Come to a complete stop before proceeding. If you drive past these signs, you are going the wrong way and are at risk of a head-on collision. You should cautiously turn around.

6 . If a green arrow turns into a solid green light, you:

No longer have to turn in the direction that the arrow indicated. If a green arrow turns into a solid green light, you may still turn in the direction that the arrow was pointing but you must first yield to pedestrians and oncoming traffic.
