This DMV practise tests for Colorado include questions based on the most important traffic signs and limitations from the Colorado Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.

Each practise test question provides a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about road rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as information from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official DMV test.

You must properly answer 20 out of 25 questions to receive the requisite passing grade. To help you prepare for your Colorado instruction permit or driver's licence, take our DMV practise test.

The DMV exam is accessible in a variety of languages.

Using a testing aid of any kind will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take additional action against your driver's licence, so don't do it.

Do you currently have car insurance?

Before you start the test, please answer the following question regarding your insurance status.

Without insurance you will not be able to drive in Colorado

19 . If you are stopped by a police officer, you should:

Get out of your car and walk toward the patrol car. If you are stopped by the police, keep your hands on the wheel and ask any passengers to keep their hands in view as well. You should remain in the vehicle unless the police officer asks you to get out. Wait until the officer asks you to retrieve your driver license, registration, and insurance cards.

20 . A red arrow displayed on a traffic light means that:

A driver may turn in the direction that the red arrow is pointing. Unless a posted sign indicates otherwise, a traffic signal displaying a red arrow means that drivers must come to a full stop and remain stopped until a green light or green arrow appears.

21 . If your vehicle begins to skid, you should:

Release the steering wheel. If your vehicle begins to skid, remain calm. Steer in the direction that you want to go and try not to overcorrect.

22 . If you miss your exit on an interstate expressway:

Back up on the highway. If you miss your turn or exit, do not back up or try to turn around on the highway. Go to the next exit and safely turn around.

23 . When driving under icy or snowy conditions, which driving technique will help drivers avoid crashes?

Reduce their speed and increase their following distance. Reduce your speed when roads are snow-covered or icy. Doing this and increasing your following distance are the most important techniques for avoiding crashes under snowy or icy conditions.

24 . If you stop at a railroad crossing with more than one track:

Go through when one of the tracks is free. If you are stopped at a railroad crossing with more than one track, do not start moving as soon as a train passes. Wait until you have a clear view down all tracks before you start across. Even where there is only one track, do not start across immediately after a train passes; check again for another train that may be approaching.

25 . A flashing red traffic signal at an intersection has the same requirements as:

An intersection sign. When approaching a flashing red signal, you must stop and yield to all traffic that does not have to stop.

Wait, before you go
