FREE Oregon DMV Practice Test #15 Page 5 of 5
The practise exams for the Oregon DMV have been updated for January 2024. It includes questions based on the most important traffic signals and regulations for 2024 from the Oregon Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as knowledge from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official Oregon DMV test.
You must properly answer 28 of the 35 questions to receive a passing mark. Use the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles' practise exam to help you prepare for your instruction permit or driver's licence.
The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.
29 . If you are involved in a serious motor vehicle crash:
If you are involved in a crash, move your vehicle off of the road and stop, if possible. If anyone is injured, call 911 and provide appropriate help. You must report the crash to law enforcement if there is an injury, a death, and/or more than $1,000 in property damage (or more than $200 worth of damage made to non-vehicle government property, such as signs or guardrails).
30 . Before switching on the ignition, you should:
Develop a routine for entering and leaving your car. Before switching on the ignition, buckle your safety belt and see that all passengers do likewise.
31 . When you are in a line of traffic that is crossing a railroad track that has no signals or gates:
If you are following another vehicle at a railroad crossing, check to make sure you have enough room to get all the way across before you drive onto the tracks. You should never try to pass another vehicle as you approach or cross a railroad crossing. Always check for trains before crossing any railroad tracks.
32 . When you park uphill on a street with a curb:
When parking on an incline where there is a curb, you should turn your wheels sharply to the left, away from the curb. This way, if your brakes fail, your vehicle will not roll into traffic.
33 . This sign means:
This sign indicates that there is merging traffic entering from the right.
34 . When a stop is required at an intersection and no markings appear to indicate a stop line or crosswalk, a driver:
If there is no stop line or crosswalk, you should stop at the point nearest to the intersecting roadway where you can get a view of approaching traffic. You should not enter the intersecting roadway to gain a better view.
35 . You may not cross a single broken white or yellow line:
You may cross a single broken line to pass or change lanes as long as you can do so safely and without interfering with traffic.
