The Mississippi DMV practise exams for January 2024 have been updated. It comprises questions based on the most important traffic signals and legislation for 2024 from the Mississippi Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as knowledge from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official Mississippi DMV test.
You must properly answer 24 of the 30 questions to receive a passing mark. Take this Mississippi DMV practise exam to help you prepare for your instruction permit or driver's licence.
The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.

This is a low clearance warning sign. It indicates the distance from the road surface to the bottom of a bridge or overpass (in this case, 12 feet, 6 inches).
18 . Which of these statements is true about large trucks?
Large trucks take longer to stop than other vehicles traveling at the same speed. The average passenger vehicle traveling at 55 mph can stop within 400 feet. However, a large truck traveling at the same speed can take almost 800 feet to stop.
20 . If you come to an intersection and your view to the side is blocked, you should:
Drivers must slow down when approaching an intersection. If a clear view of cross traffic is obscured, a driver should come to a stop and inch forward until they can see clearly in both directions.
21 . At intersections with a "Yield" sign, you must:
At a yield sign, you must slow down or stop, if necessary, and give the right-of-way to crossing or merging vehicles. Yield the right-of-way to any cross traffic that is close enough to cause conflict.
22 . If an officer is directing traffic at a working traffic light, drivers should:
Traffic signals are placed at intersections to keep traffic moving and to help prevent crashes. Drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists must obey these signals, except when an officer is otherwise directing traffic.
23 . If you want to enter the freeway but you don't see a gap in traffic, you should:
If you want to enter the freeway but do not see a space for your vehicle in traffic, slow down on the ramp to wait for a gap. Do not drive to the end of the ramp and wait for a gap or you will not have enough room to accelerate to the speed of traffic before entering the roadway.
24 . When should you return to your previous lane while completing a pass?
When passing, use your right turn signal after entering the left lane and before returning to the right lane. It is safe for you to return to the right lane when you can see the entire vehicle you have just passed in your rearview mirror.
