FREE Mississippi DMV Practice Test #18
The Mississippi DMV practise exams for January 2024 have been updated. It comprises questions based on the most important traffic signals and legislation for 2024 from the Mississippi Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as knowledge from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official Mississippi DMV test.
You must properly answer 24 of the 30 questions to receive a passing mark. Take this Mississippi DMV practise exam to help you prepare for your instruction permit or driver's licence.
The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.
1 . You should drive on the shoulder to pass a car:
Passing on the right is permissible only if it is possible to do so without driving off the roadway. Never pass another vehicle on the shoulder because the other driver will not expect you to be there and may pull off the road.
2 . What can you do to reduce road rage?
To do your part to prevent road rage, you should follow laws, signs, signals, and pavement markings. Always signal your intention when changing lanes.
3 . If you are facing a green traffic light but the intersection ahead is blocked by traffic, you should:
Even if you are facing a green traffic light, do not start across the intersection if there are other vehicles blocking your way. If you are caught in the intersection when the light changes to red, your vehicle will block cross traffic. You can get a ticket for blocking an intersection.
4 . Highway pavement will be particularly treacherous and most slippery:
Pavement is particularly treacherous when it first begins to rain. Accumulations of dirt and oil mix with the rainwater, creating a greasy film on the roadway.
5 . When a gate at a railroad crossing is lowering, you should:
You must stop at a railroad crossing if the gate is lowering. It is unsafe to do otherwise.
6 . You are driving on a city street and see an emergency vehicle with flashing lights behind you. What should you do?
You must yield the right-of-way to any emergency vehicle that is using its siren and lights. Drive to the right edge of the road and stop until the emergency vehicle has passed. If you are within an intersection, drive through the intersection first and then stop.
7 . A school bus is stopped ahead of you in your lane with its red lights flashing. You should:
When a stopped school bus is using its flashing red lights, approaching drivers must stop and remain stopped until the lights stop flashing. If the school bus is on the opposite side of a divided highway, drivers do not need to stop.
8 . When driving in work zones, you should:
When driving in a work zone, keep a safe distance between your vehicle and traffic barriers, trucks, construction equipment, workers, and other vehicles. Increase your following distance and do not tailgate.
