FREE Michigan DMV Practice Test #8 Page 2 of 7
The practise exams for the Michigan DMV have been updated for January 2024. It comprises questions based on the most important traffic signals and regulations for 2024 from the Michigan Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as knowledge from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official Michigan DMV test.
You must properly answer 40 of the 50 questions to receive a passing mark. Take our Michigan DMV practise exam to help you prepare for your instruction permit or driver's licence.
The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.

If a green arrow turns into a solid green light, you may still turn in the direction that the arrow was pointing but you must first yield to pedestrians and oncoming traffic.
9 . It is important to be alert to motorcycles because:
Motorcycles are smaller and harder to see than cars. Because of their size, they are easily hidden in a car’s blind spot. It may be difficult to judge your distance to a motorcycle and difficult to tell how fast a motorcycle is moving, so always be alert and extra cautious when near a motorcyclist.
10 . Driving while being distracted by any activity:
Distractions cause drivers to react more slowly to traffic and hazards on the roadway. Distracted driving is never safe.
11 . This sign is used to warn drivers about:
This sign indicates that the road ahead curves to the right.
12 . You are involved in an accident and your vehicle is blocking traffic. You should:
After a minor collision, move your vehicle off the traveled portion of the roadway, if possible. Do not leave the scene of an accident without identifying yourself and rendering assistance.
13 . You must stop for a school bus:
You must stop when approaching a school bus that is displaying flashing red lights while stopped to pick up or drop off children. On a two-lane road, traffic moving in both directions must stop and remain stopped as long as the red lights near the top of the bus are flashing and/or the stop arm on the left side of the bus is extended.
14 . Is it legal cross a double solid yellow centerline to pass?
Two solid yellow lines down the center of a two-way road mean that neither lane of traffic may cross the lines, unless they are turning off of the roadway. A driver can cross double yellow lines when turning into or out of a driveway or entrance to a business. No passing is allowed over a solid yellow line.
