FREE Michigan DMV Practice Test #14
The practise exams for the Michigan DMV have been updated for January 2024. It comprises questions based on the most important traffic signals and regulations for 2024 from the Michigan Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as knowledge from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official Michigan DMV test.
You must properly answer 40 of the 50 questions to receive a passing mark. Take our Michigan DMV practise exam to help you prepare for your instruction permit or driver's licence.
The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.
1 . When traveling on a multilane roadway with traffic moving in opposite directions, how should drivers use the shared center lane?
The only time a vehicle should enter the center lane is at a point where the vehicle will have time to slow down or stop in order to make a safe left turn maneuver. The center lane should never be used as a passing lane or as a through-traffic lane.
2 . A fully loaded tractor-trailer traveling at 55 mph could take up to ____ to come to a complete stop.
Tractor-trailers take longer distances to stop than smaller cars traveling at the same speed. A fully loaded tractor-trailer may take almost 400 feet to come to a complete stop when driving at 55 mph.
3 . Before turning, you should:
To complete a turn safely, you should activate your turn signal three to four seconds before your turn.
4 . When is it illegal to drive below the speed limit?
It is illegal to drive so slowly that you disrupt the normal flow of traffic. You may receive a citation for driving too slowly.
5 . You should not pass another driver:
Drivers should not pass when it may endanger themselves or other drivers. They should not pass in no passing zones, in areas where visibility is limited, or when it may interfere with oncoming traffic.
6 . A “No stopping” sign means that, unless directed to do so by a police officer, you may stop only:
A "No stopping" sign means you can only stop to obey a traffic signal, to obey a police officer, or to prevent a conflict with another vehicle.
7 . Which of the following lights indicates that you should slow down and proceed with caution at an intersection?
A flashing yellow traffic light at an intersection indicates that drivers must slow down, proceed with caution, and be prepared to stop.
