This set of practise tests for the Hawaii DMV include questions based on the most important traffic signs and legislation from the Hawaii Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.

Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as information from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official DMV test.

You must properly answer 24 of the 30 questions to receive a passing mark. To help you prepare for your Hawaii instruction permit or driver's licence, take our DMV practise test.

The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.

Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.

13 . This sign means:

This sign means:
Turn right or go through. Regulation signs regulate traffic speed and movement, displaying rules which drivers must obey. This regulation sign means that left turns are prohibited.

14 . This road sign means:

This road sign means:
Low ground railroad crossing. This sign indicates a low ground railroad crossing. Where this sign is present, railroad tracks cross the road at a steep slope and the bottom of low vehicles may drag or get caught on the tracks.

15 . If one of your tires blows out as you are driving, you should:

Swerve back and forth to alert traffic behind you. If a tire blows out while you are driving, hold the steering wheel tightly and keep the car headed straight down the road. Ease your foot off the gas pedal and do not apply the brakes until you have complete control. When the car is under control, brake gently and pull off the road at the nearest safe location.

16 . This road sign means:

This road sign means:
Drive with caution and be ready to stop. An eight-sided sign always means "stop." You must come to a complete stop and wait for any vehicles or pedestrians to clear the way before proceeding.

17 . If you drive a heavy truck or bus on the highway, you:

Are responsible only for your truck and its cargo. Due to their size and weight, large trucks and buses can cause great damage and injury when involved in an accident. The drivers of these vehicles must be constantly aware of the limitations and potential of their vehicles and recognize their responsibility to give proper consideration to other highway users, as well as to their passengers and cargo.

18 . A steady green light at an intersection means that you:

May not turn right. A steady green light means you may drive through the intersection if the road is clear. You may also turn right or left on a steady green light unless a sign prohibits the turn. When turning, you must yield to other vehicles and pedestrians within the intersection.
