FREE Rhode Island DMV Practice Test #21
The DMV practise exams in Rhode Island have been updated for January 2024. It comprises questions based on the most important traffic signals and laws for 2024 from the Rhode Island Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as knowledge from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official Rhode Island DMV test.
You must properly answer 21 of the 30 questions to receive a passing mark. Use the Rhode Island Department of Motor Vehicles' practise exam to help you prepare for your instruction permit or driver's licence.
The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.

2 . When may you turn off your mechanical turn signal?
Activate your turn signal before beginning a turn to alert surrounding drivers to your intentions. Complete the turn before turning off your signal.
3 . When using a roundabout, drivers should:
A roundabout is a circular intersection that flows in a counterclockwise direction around a central island and usually does not include a traffic signal. Entering motorists must yield to traffic already using the roundabout then follow the circle to the right until the desired roadway is reached.

A flashing yellow light means that you should proceed through the intersection slowly and with caution. Scan your eyes across traffic in both directions.
5 . To see objects in their blind spot when changing lanes, drivers should check:
Your vehicle's blind spots are the areas that you cannot see in your mirrors. Look over the appropriate shoulder to check your blind spot when changing lanes.
6 . To reduce the effects of headlight glare at night, you should look:
If oncoming drivers do not dim their headlights for you, keep your eyes on the right side of the road ahead. Do not look directly at the oncoming headlights because the glare may blind you for several seconds.
7 . At a four-way stop:
At four-way stops, traffic from all four directions must stop. The first vehicle to reach the intersection should move forward first. If two vehicles reach the intersection at the same time, the driver on the left yields to the driver on the right.
8 . This sign means:
This sign indicates the presence of a pedestrian crossing. Drivers should be cautious when driving where pedestrians may be present.
