FREE Oregon DMV Practical Test Page 2 of 5
The practise exams for the Oregon DMV include questions based on the most important traffic signals and regulations from the Oregon Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Residents must have an Oregon driver's licence or learner's permit to operate a motor vehicle on any Oregon street or highway. Your eyesight will be tested by the DMV to ensure that you can see clearly enough to drive safely. The Oregon DMV written test will include questions about Oregon road rules, traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving practises, all of which will be based on the contents of the Oregon Driver's Manual. You must wait at least one day after failing your OR DMV knowledge test before taking it again.
There are 35 questions on the test, and you must get at least 28 accurate answers to pass (80 %). To prepare for the official Oregon DMV driver's licence test, practise with this sample DMV test and study the manual.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.
8 . Who is required to wear a safety belt while in a moving vehicle in Oregon?
Oregon law requires safety belt use by all drivers and passengers, regardless of seating position. Properly fastened safety belts are your best defense in a collision.
9 . If you miss your exit on an interstate expressway:
If you miss your turn or exit, do not back up or try to turn around on the highway. Go to the next exit and safely turn around.
10 . Two solid yellow lines on the pavement mean:
Yellow lines tell you that the traffic on the other side of the lines is moving in the opposite direction. You should never cross two solid yellow lines to pass from either direction.
11 . A “No stopping” sign means that, unless directed to do so by a police officer, you may stop only:
A "No stopping" sign means you can only stop to obey a traffic signal, to obey a police officer, or to prevent a conflict with another vehicle.
12 . Which of the following statements about railroad crossings is true?
You must stop at a railroad crossing when directed to do so by a flagger, stop sign, or warning devices, such as gates or flashing lights. Not all railroad crossings are equipped with such devices. It is against the law to drive around lowered railroad crossing gates.
13 . This road sign means:
This sign indicates that the overpass ahead has a low clearance. You should not proceed if your vehicle is taller than the height shown on the sign (in this case, 13 feet 6 inches).
14 . This road sign means:
This sign indicates that the road ahead winds with a series of turns or curves.
