FREE Maryland DMV Practice Test #8
Maryland DMV practise examinations have been updated for January 2024. It includes questions based on the Maryland Driver Handbook's most essential traffic signals and regulations for 2024. Use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam to study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
On the practise exam, each question gets a tip and explanation to help you remember the concepts. The written component of the official Maryland DMV test will include questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as knowledge from the Driver Handbook.
To obtain a passing grade, you must correctly answer 22 of the 25 questions. Take our DMV practise exam to help you prepare for your Maryland instruction permit or driver's licence.
The DMV exam is available in several languages.
Using any kind of testing assistance will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take additional action against your driver's licence, so stay away from it.
1 . Motorcycles, scooters, and mopeds are not easy to see; therefore, you should:
Motorcycles can be easily hidden in a vehicle’s blind spot or missed in a quick look due to their small size. Drivers of cars must always be alert and looking for motorcycles, mopeds, and scooters.
2 . You have allowed the wheels of your vehicle to run off the edge of the pavement. What should you do first?
If your vehicle leaves the roadway, hold the steering wheel firmly, release the gas pedal, and gently apply the brakes. Wait until your speed has reduced, check the traffic, and look for a place to safely return to the roadway by merging back into traffic. Overcompensating by jerking the wheel to return to the roadway can cause you to lose control of your vehicle or may cause your car to go into other lanes of traffic.
3 . Large trucks are likely to lose speed when:
Because large trucks require more time to accelerate than smaller vehicles, trucks can lose speed driving up long or steep hills. Be cautious when driving behind a large truck and be sure to give the vehicle additional space, especially when driving on an incline.
4 . "BAC" means:
Blood alcohol concentration (BAC) is a measurement of the amount of alcohol in a person’s blood. Drivers age 21 or older are considered to be driving under the influence of alcohol when their blood alcohol concentration is 0.08 percent or higher.
5 . This road sign means:
Regulatory signs provide notice to road users of traffic laws and must be obeyed. Where this sign is posted, making a right turn is prohibited.
6 . When entering an interstate highway, you should:
Rather than stopping (as you would when entering other roads), you must use the merging or acceleration lane to speed up and smoothly merge with fast-moving traffic already on the interstate.
7 . When you need to make a turn, you should:
It is safest to plan a turn before reaching the turning point. Activate your turn signal with plenty of time for other drivers to safely respond to your intentions. Check your surroundings to ensure that it is safe before making the turn.
8 . When preparing to drive, you should:
Before you drive, both you and your vehicle should be ready. You must have a valid learner's permit or driver license and vehicle registration card in your possession. You should properly adjust your seat and mirrors and ensure that all passengers are wearing a seat belt before driving.
