FREE Indiana DMV Practical Test Page 2 of 5
This set of Indiana DMV practise tests include questions based on the Indiana Driver Handbook's most significant traffic signals and laws. Use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam to study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
A driver's licence or learner's permit is necessary for anyone operating a motor vehicle on Indiana's public streets and roads. All applicants for an Indiana driver's licence or learner's permit must pass a vision screening test. The information about the IN BMV written test comes from the Indiana Driver's Manual. You must be able to read and understand regulation, warning, and traffic signs and signals, as well as demonstrate a basic awareness of Indiana road rules, traffic laws, and safe driving practises in order to pass the knowledge test.
There are 50 questions in the BMV written exam. You are permitted to miss 2 of the 16 questions about traffic signs and 6 of the 34 questions about road laws in order to pass the test.
Using any kind of testing assistance will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take additional action against your driver's licence, so stay away from it.
9 . This sign is used to warn drivers:
This sign indicates that the right lane on a multilane roadway ends ahead. Traffic in the right lane must merge left.
10 . This sign means:
This sign indicates that the road ahead becomes a divided highway. Keep to the right of the divider or median.
11 . A pedestrian starts to cross in front of your vehicle. You should:
Slow down and be prepared to stop whenever you see pedestrians walking on or crossing the roadway. Be particularly careful where children are present. Always yield the right-of-way to a pedestrian crossing in a crosswalk.
12 . To check your blind spot when changing lanes to the left, you should glance:
To check your blind spot, glance over your shoulder in the direction that you want to move.
13 . At a light rail intersection, always:
You should never drive around lowered crossing gates. Always look both ways before turning across train tracks and always obey signs and traffic signals. Trains share the road with motor vehicles and bicyclists.
14 . When may you proceed through an intersection that has a stop sign but no stop line or crosswalk?
Stop before the stop line or crosswalk at any intersection that is controlled by a stop sign. If there is a stop sign but no stop line or crosswalk, stop before entering the intersection and proceed when it is safe to do so.
15 . When turning right at a red traffic light, you should:
To turn right at an intersection that is controlled by a red traffic light, you must first come to a full stop. Check to make sure that there are no vehicles or pedestrians in or about to be in the path of your turn. Make sure there is no sign posted to prohibit the turn.
16 . You experience an incident at work that has left you feeling angry. When you get to your car, you should:
Persons who are upset, angry, or otherwise distracted by their emotions should take time to cool off before driving a car. Taking out frustrations or anger while driving is exercising very poor judgment and is very dangerous to both the driver and others on the road.
