This set of DMV practise tests for the Florida include questions based on the most important traffic signs and laws from the Florida Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.

Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as information from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official DMV test.

You must properly answer 40 of the 50 questions to receive the required passing mark. To help you prepare for your Florida instruction permit or driver's licence, take our DMV practise test.

The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.

Using any kind of testing assistance will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take additional action against your driver's licence, so stay away from it.

Do you currently have car insurance?

Before you start the test, please answer the following question regarding your insurance status.

Without insurance you will not be able to drive in Florida

22 . A “No stopping” sign means that, unless directed to do so by a police officer, you may stop only:

For less than five minutes. A "No stopping" sign means you can only stop to obey a traffic signal, to obey a police officer, or to prevent a conflict with another vehicle.

23 . This sign means:

This sign means:
Detour ahead. This sign indicates that U-turns are prohibited.

24 . When you need to change lanes, it is important to:

All of the above. Always signal for an appropriate amount of time before making a lane change or exiting a freeway. Before you make any move to the right or left, quickly turn your head and look over your shoulder to see if your blind spot is clear.

25 . Which of the following is true about driving on a wet roadway?

As you decrease your speed, the roadway becomes more slippery. The faster you drive on a wet roadway, the less effective your tires will be at wiping the water from the road. If your speed becomes excessive enough, your tires will lose their grip on the road entirely and you will begin to hydroplane (that is, to slide down the road on a film of water).

26 . An "End school zone" sign indicates:

The end of a reduced speed zone. Do not exceed the school zone speed limit during indicated times. The end of a reduced speed school zone will be indicated by an "End school zone" regulatory sign.

27 . When driving past a vehicle that has just stopped in a parked position on the side of the road, you should:

Assume that the driver will wait for you to pass before opening the door. When passing a vehicle that has just parked parallel to the road, you should assume the driver will open the door as you approach. Use extra caution when driving near parked vehicles.

28 . You must pull over to the edge of the road and allow an emergency vehicle to pass:

None of the above. You must pull over to the right edge of the road and stop for an emergency vehicle with flashing lights, regardless of whether it is approaching you from behind or from the opposite direction.
