FREE Arizona DMV Practice Test #5 Page 4 of 4
This DMV practise tests for Arizona was just updated for January 2024. It includes questions based on the most important traffic signs and restrictions from the 2024 Arizona Driver Handbook. To prepare for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each practise test question offers a recommendation and explanation to help you remember the topics. Questions about road rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as information from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official DMV test.
You must properly answer 24 out of 30 questions to receive a passing grade. To help you prepare for your Arizona instruction permit or driver's licence, take our DMV practise test.
The DMV exam is accessible in a variety of languages.
Using a testing aid of any kind will result in an automatic failure, and the DMV may take additional action against your driver's licence, so don't do it.
25 . If you come to a railroad crossing with lowered gates and flashing warning lights, you should:
You must stop at a railroad crossing where signs, warning devices, or flaggers warn you of the presence of a train. It is illegal to drive around lowered gates.
26 . If oncoming headlights are blinding you while you are driving at night, you should:
If the headlights of an oncoming vehicle are blinding, glance toward the right edge of the road instead of looking directly ahead. This should keep your vehicle safely on the road until you pass the oncoming vehicle.
27 . When should drivers adjust their mirrors, seats, and steering wheels?
Prior to starting the vehicle, drivers should adjust their steering wheel, their mirror, and their seat. They should also be sure their brakes and turn signals are in working order before they begin driving.
28 . If you are approaching an intersection where the traffic light has changed from green to yellow:
A steady yellow light means that the signal is about to turn red. If the light is yellow and you have not yet entered the intersection, you should come to a safe stop. Speeding up to "beat the light" is illegal and dangerous.
29 . If you come upon a severe dust storm, you should:
If you encounter a severe dust storm, you should immediately check traffic around your vehicle, begin slowing down, drive completely off the highway and stop as far to the right as possible (taking care not to stop in the travel lane or emergency lane), turn off your lights, take your foot off the brake, stay in the vehicle with your seat belt(s) buckled, and wait for the dust storm to pass.
30 . You may not park within ____ of a railroad crossing.
Drivers should not park within 50 feet of a railroad crossing. Drivers should only park where it is legal to do so and where other drivers can clearly see their stopped vehicle.
