FREE Arizona DMV Practice Test #24 Page 4 of 4
This DMV practise tests for Arizona was just updated for January 2024. It includes questions based on the most important traffic signs and restrictions from the 2024 Arizona Driver Handbook. To prepare for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each practise test question offers a recommendation and explanation to help you remember the topics. Questions about road rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as information from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official DMV test.
You must properly answer 24 out of 30 questions to receive a passing grade. To help you prepare for your Arizona instruction permit or driver's licence, take our DMV practise test.
The DMV exam is accessible in a variety of languages.
Using a testing aid of any kind will result in an automatic failure, and the DMV may take additional action against your driver's licence, so don't do it.

Because large trucks require more time to accelerate than smaller vehicles, trucks can lose speed driving up long or steep hills. Be cautious when driving behind a large truck and be sure to give the vehicle additional space, especially when driving on an incline.
28 . Hydroplaning occurs when tires ride on a thin film of water instead of on the road. To prevent hydroplaning in wet weather, you should:
Hydroplaning is caused by driving too fast on a wet road. Slow down when driving on wet pavement to prevent hydroplaning.
29 . What is a potential effect of taking a prescription drug while drinking alcohol?
Legal medications, both prescription and over-the-counter, can impair your ability to drive. They can be particularly dangerous when used in combination with alcohol.
30 . At an intersection with a yield sign, you:
When approaching a yield sign, drivers must give the right-of-way to traffic already in the lanes that they intend to enter or cross. Drivers should be prepared to stop when approaching a yield sign but may continue without stopping if there is no conflicting traffic.
