FREE Alaska DMV Practice Test #22 Page 2 of 3
This Alaska DMV practise tests has just been updated for January 2024. It contains questions based on the most essential traffic signs and limitations from the Alaska Driver Handbook for 2024. Use actual questions that are very close (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam to prepare for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
To help you recall the topics, each practise test question includes a suggestion and explanation. The written component of the official DMV test will include questions about road rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as information from the Driver Handbook.
To get the required passing mark, you must correctly answer 16 out of 20 questions. Take our DMV practise exam to help you prepare for your Alaska instruction permit or driver's licence.
The DMV exam is available in multiple languages.
Using any form of testing aid will result in an automatic failure, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so don't do it.
7 . If you are convicted of a DUI, your license will be revoked for not less than:
If you refuse to take a breath test, or if your breath test result shows a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.08 percent or higher, your driver license will be revoked. The revocation period is a minimum of 90 days.
8 . Before turning, you should:
To complete a turn safely, you should activate your turn signal three to four seconds before your turn.
9 . Passing is prohibited:
Locations where it is unlawful and unsafe to pass another vehicle include hills, curves, intersections, and railroad crossings.
10 . This sign is used to warn drivers:
This sign indicates that the right lane on a multilane roadway ends ahead. Traffic in the right lane must merge left.
11 . You may pass another vehicle:
You may not pass another vehicle on a hill or in a curve because you cannot see oncoming traffic and may cause a collision. Never pass another vehicle by driving onto the shoulder of a highway. Passing another vehicle by driving over a solid yellow line is prohibited.
12 . When may you proceed through an intersection that has a stop sign but no stop line or crosswalk?
Stop before the stop line or crosswalk at any intersection that is controlled by a stop sign. If there is a stop sign but no stop line or crosswalk, stop before entering the intersection and proceed when it is safe to do so.
13 . What should you do if your accelerator sticks while you are driving?
If your accelerator sticks while you are driving, keep your eyes on the road. Quickly shift the vehicle into neutral and apply steady pressure on the brake pedal. Pull off the road when it is safe to do so and turn off the engine.
