This Alaska DMV practise tests has just been updated for September 2021. It contains questions based on the most essential traffic signs and limitations from the Alaska Driver Handbook for 2021. Use actual questions that are very close (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam to prepare for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.

To help you recall the topics, each practise test question includes a suggestion and explanation. The written component of the official DMV test will include questions about road rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as information from the Driver Handbook.

To get the required passing mark, you must correctly answer 16 out of 20 questions. Take our DMV practise exam to help you prepare for your Alaska instruction permit or driver's licence.

The DMV exam is available in multiple languages.

Using any form of testing aid will result in an automatic failure, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so don't do it.

1 . When driving on an interstate:

You should change lanes often. Signal, check your mirrors, and check your blind spot before changing lanes or passing on an interstate. Only stop on the shoulder of the interstate in the case of an emergency and change lanes as infrequently as possible. Cruise control should not be used in heavy traffic or under poor weather conditions.

2 . When stopped for a traffic violation or at an equipment check, the driver must produce:

All of the above. When stopped for a traffic violation or at an equipment check, the driver is responsible for producing their license, proof of registration, and proof of insurance. Drivers are required to have all three of these documents in a vehicle when it is being driven.

3 . If a green arrow turns into a solid green light, you:

No longer have to turn in the direction that the arrow indicated. If a green arrow turns into a solid green light, you may still turn in the direction that the arrow was pointing but you must first yield to pedestrians and oncoming traffic.

4 . An orange triangle with red borders positioned on the rear of a vehicle means the vehicle is:

An ambulance. An orange, triangular sign with red borders indicates that a vehicle is a slow-moving vehicle. Drivers near a vehicle marked with this symbol should not expect the slow-moving vehicle to exceed a speed of 25 mph.

5 . On slippery roads, you should:

Not drive more quickly than 20 mph. You should slow down at the first sign of rain, snow, or sleet, all of which can create slippery road conditions. When conditions on the road are less than ideal, safety may require that you drive more slowly than the posted speed limit.

6 . When changing lanes on a multilane roadway, you should:

None of these. Before changing lanes on a multilane roadway, you should check your mirrors and blind spots. Check your blind spot by looking over your shoulder in the direction that you are moving.
