FREE Nevada DMV Practice Test #1 Page 6 of 7
The Nevada DMV practise examinations have been updated for January 2024. It includes questions based on the Nevada Driver Handbook's most significant traffic signals and legislation for 2024. Use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam to study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
On the practise exam, each question gets a tip and explanation to help you remember the concepts. The written component of the official Nevada DMV test will include questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as knowledge from the Driver Handbook.
To obtain a passing grade, you must correctly answer 40 of the 50 questions. To help you prepare for your instruction permit or driver's licence, take our Nevada DMV practise test.
The DMV exam is available in several languages.
Using any kind of testing assistance will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take additional action against your driver's licence, so stay away from it.
36 . Look over your shoulder to check your blind spot when:
Look over your shoulder to check your blind spot every time you want to change your vehicle's position. If you are turning, changing lanes, or pulling toward or away from a curb, you should check your blind spots.
37 . To enter a freeway:
When merging into traffic, you should signal and enter at the same speed that traffic is moving. Always yield to other traffic when entering a roadway.
38 . Cars begin to lose traction and hydroplane at a speed of 70 mph.
On wet roadways, cars may begin to lose traction and hydroplane at speeds as low as 35 mph. When this happens, a driver loses control of their vehicle. Slow down when driving in rain.
39 . Which of the following commonly causes traffic accidents?
Driving too fast for conditions is a major cause of motor vehicle crashes. Being inattentive to surroundings can cause a driver to collide with other vehicles. Most rear-end collisions are caused by drivers following other vehicles too closely.
40 . If moving with a stream of vehicles across a railroad track, it is safe to stop on the track for a short period of time.
It is prohibited to stop, stand, or park on a railroad track. You should never cross railroad tracks unless there is room for your entire vehicle on the other side of tracks.
41 . Drowsy drivers:
Drowsiness can make people drive so poorly that they appear to be drunk. Opening a window, turning on the radio, or drinking coffee is not enough to make a drowsy driver alert to roadway hazards.
42 . What should you be most concerned about when you see this sign?
This sign indicates that the shoulder is lower than the road in the area ahead. If you drift off of the roadway and one wheel drops onto a low shoulder, do not slam on the brakes or steer sharply to try to get back onto the roadway. This could easily cause you to lose control of your vehicle.
