If a tire blows out while you are driving, hold the steering wheel tightly and keep the car headed straight down the road. Ease your foot off the gas pedal and do not apply the brakes until you have complete control. When the car is under control, brake gently and pull off the road at the nearest safe location.
20 . Refusing to take an alcohol analysis test when under suspicion of Operating Under the Influence:
If you are driving a motor vehicle in Massachusetts, you have given your consent to a test to determine the alcoholic content of your blood and the presence of any abused or illegal controlled dangerous substance. If you refuse to submit to the test, your driving privileges will be suspended.
21 . The best way to deal with tailgaters is to:
Check the traffic behind you several times a minute to know if another driver is tailgating, approaching too fast, or trying to pass. If another car is following you too closely, slow down and let it pass. Most rear-end collisions are caused by vehicles following too closely.
22 . If you need to drive in foggy weather:
You are required to use your headlights during the day when visibility is reduced to 500 feet or less. When you first turn on your headlights, be sure they are adjusted to the low beam setting. Using high beams in fog or rain will cause the light to reflect back into your eyes, lowering visibility even more.
23 . When approaching a curve in the road, you should reduce your speed:
Always slow down near a curve or in any area where you cannot see clearly ahead. Reduce your speed before you enter a curve in the road so you do not have to brake in the curve. Braking in a curve can cause a skid.
24 . If you stop along the road at night:
If you stop along the road at night, turn on your emergency flashers and leave your low beam headlights turned on. Be sure that other road users will be able to clearly see your vehicle.
25 . This sign is used to warn drivers:
This sign indicates that the right lane on a multilane roadway ends ahead. Traffic in the right lane must merge left.
