FREE Kentucky DMV Practice Test #21
The DMV practise tests in Kentucky have been updated for January 2024. It comprises questions based on the most important traffic signals and laws for 2024 from the KentuckyDriver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as knowledge from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official Kentucky DMV test.
You must properly answer 32 of the 40 questions to receive a passing mark. To help you prepare for your Kentucky instruction permit or driver's licence, take our DMV practise test.
The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.
1 . You are driving on a city street and see an emergency vehicle with flashing lights behind you. What should you do?
You must yield the right-of-way to any emergency vehicle that is using its siren and lights. Drive to the right edge of the road and stop until the emergency vehicle has passed. If you are within an intersection, drive through the intersection first and then stop.

3 . Which of these statements is true about changing lanes?
Before changing lanes, signal, look in all your mirrors, and look over your left or right shoulder to make sure the lane next to you is clear. Looking over your shoulder is a way to check your blind spot to be sure there is no vehicle, motorcycle, or bicycle traffic in the next lane.
4 . When leaving a parking space that is parallel to the side of the road, you should:
If you are parked parallel on the right-hand side of the street, turn on your left turn signal and look over your left shoulder before moving back into traffic. If you are parked parallel on the left-hand side of a one-way street, turn on your right turn signal and look over your right shoulder before moving back into traffic.
5 . When driving on an interstate, to avoid traffic merging from on-ramps to your right, the best thing to do is to:
When driving on an interstate highway, be aware of upcoming on-ramps. When traffic permits, move out of the right-hand lane to allow vehicles to enter from the on-ramps to your right.

A driver’s ability to safely operate a vehicle may be impaired at any BAC level, even a level lower than the legal limit. Any amount of alcohol can affect one’s judgment and physical coordination. Driving under the influence of even a small amount of alcohol can lead to criminal charges.
7 . Tailgating other drivers (driving too closely to their rear bumper):
Tailgating is a common behavior that can lead to aggressive driving, and so it should be avoided. Drivers may face legal consequences for driving unsafely.
8 . To help avoid skidding on slippery surfaces, you should:
Slow down before you enter a curve because you do not know what may be ahead. Braking on a curve may cause you to skid.
