FREE Delaware DMV Practice Test #7 Page 3 of 4
This set of DMV practise tests for Delaware was just updated for January 2024. It comprises questions based on the most important traffic signs and rules for 2024 from the Delaware Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about road laws, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as information from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official DMV test.
You must properly answer 20 of the 25 questions to receive the required passing mark. To help you prepare for your Delaware instruction permit or driver's licence, take our DMV practise test.
The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.
Using any kind of testing assistance will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take additional action against your driver's licence, so stay away from it.
17 . If a tire suddenly blows out while you are driving, you should:
If you experience a sudden tire blowout, do not panic. Grasp the steering wheel firmly and take your foot off the accelerator to allow the vehicle to roll to a stop. Lightly apply the breaks when it is safe to do so. Do not move to the shoulder of the road until the car has slowed considerably.
18 . Children under the age of 16:
Before you drive, fasten your safety belt properly and make sure all your passengers are using proper safety belts or child restraints. Delaware law requires all occupants of a motor vehicle to wear seat belts. Additional safety precautions must be taken for child passengers.
19 . This road sign means:
Warning signs provide notice to road users of a situation that might not be readily apparent and are usually yellow with black markings. This sign warns drivers to be careful when driving under wet conditions as the pavement will become slippery and more difficult to navigate safely.
20 . When driving at night, use your high beam headlights:
When driving at night, use your high beam headlights if you are not closely following another vehicle and there are no oncoming vehicles. High beams allow you to see twice as far as low beams. It is important to use high beams on unfamiliar roads, in construction areas, or where there may be people along the side of the road.
21 . This road sign means:
An octagonal sign always means stop. When approaching a stop sign, you must come to a complete stop at the marked stop line and proceed only when it is safe to do so. If there is no stop line, stop before the crosswalk. If there is no crosswalk, stop before the intersection at a point from which you can see oncoming traffic.
22 . This road sign means:
Regulatory signs provide notice to road users of traffic laws that must be obeyed. This sign tells drivers that it is prohibited to make a U-turn.
23 . If you have an argument with another person and you are angry, you should:
Your emotions affect your ability to drive safely. If you are overly angry, excited, afraid, worried, or depressed, you should give yourself time to calm down before operating a vehicle. You need to be able to mentally focus on driving without thinking about the things that made you upset.
24 . One vehicle that is required to stop at all railroad crossings is:
Transit buses, school buses, and vehicles carrying hazardous materials are required to stop at all railroad tracks before crossing, regardless of the presence of a train. Be prepared to stop at all railroad crossings when following one of these vehicles.
