FREE Wyoming DMV Practice Test #8 Page 7 of 7
The Wyoming DMV practise examinations have been updated for January 2024. It includes questions based on the Wyoming Driver Handbook's most significant traffic signals and legislation for 2024. Use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam to study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
On the practise exam, each question gets a tip and explanation to help you remember the concepts. The written component of the official Wyoming DMV test will include questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as knowledge from the Driver Handbook.
To obtain a passing grade, you must correctly answer 40 of the 50 questions. Use the practise exam provided by the Wyoming Department of Motor Vehicles to help you prepare for your instruction permit or driver's licence.
The DMV exam is available in several languages.
Using any kind of testing assistance will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take additional action against your driver's licence, so stay away from it.
43 . Your license can be suspended if you are under 21 and drive with a blood alcohol level of:
There is zero tolerance for alcohol use by drivers under age 21. If you are under 21, the detection of any trace of alcohol in your system will result in stiff penalties, including the suspension of your license for two years.
44 . When approaching a curve in the roadway, drivers should slow down:
Adjust your speed before entering a curve. Driving too fast around a curve can cause your tires to lose contact with the road.
45 . When stopped at a red traffic light with a green arrow, you may proceed in the direction of the arrow if you:
You may proceed in the direction that a green arrow signal is pointing if you are in the proper lane, regardless of any other signals that are displayed. Before turning, you must yield the right-of-way to pedestrians and vehicles already within the intersection.
46 . Children on bicycles should be given extra space by motor vehicle operators because:
Children are often the least predictable pedestrians and the most difficult pedestrians to see. Take extra care to look out for children, especially near schools, bus stops, playgrounds, parks, and ice cream trucks. Be aware of children riding bikes on the sidewalk, as they may come onto the road unexpectedly.
47 . When driving in winter weather, maintain a following distance of at least:
When driving in winter weather, maintain a following distance of at least four seconds. Watch the car in front of you pass a landmark, then start counting. If your car reaches the same landmark before you count to four, you are following too closely.
48 . A vehicle suddenly cuts in front of you, creating a hazard. What should you do first?
If a vehicle merges in front of you too closely, take your foot off of the accelerator. This will create space between you and the vehicle ahead without requiring you to slam on your brakes or swerve into another lane.
49 . A broken yellow line between two lanes of traffic means:
Dashed yellow lines separate single lanes of traffic moving in opposite directions. Passing is allowed when there is no oncoming traffic in the passing lane.
50 . When you are merging onto the freeway, you should be driving:
When merging onto a freeway, you should enter at or near the speed of traffic.
