What is the penalty for fleeing to avoid arrest?

Fleeing from a law enforcement officer to avoid arrest or citation for a misdemeanor or ordinance violation is itself a misdemeanor. Fleeing from a law enforcement officer to avoid arrest or citation for a felony is itself a felony. In either case, the driver's license may be revoked.
