In general, a driver operating with a Level 1 or 2 GDL may not drive unsupervised between the hours of:

A new driver operating a vehicle while holding a Level 1 GDL Instruction Permit may not drive between the hours of 10:00 pm and 5:00 am. A Level 2 GDL Intermediate Driver’s License holder may not drive between the hours of 10:00 pm and 5:00 pm unless they are driving to or from a school or church activity, driving to or from a job, driving in the event of an emergency, or are accompanied by a licensed driver who is age 21 or older.
