1 . If you lose your driving privileges for your personal vehicle:

You will lose your CDL driving privileges. If your driving privileges are revoked, canceled, or suspended due to moving traffic violations while in your personal vehicle, you will lose your CDL driving privileges.

2 . If an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) malfunctions:

The brakes will not work. On a vehicle with ABS, a yellow malfunction lamp on the instrument panel will illuminate to alert you if the braking system is not working.

3 . During the basic vehicle control skills test:

Excessive pull-ups are acceptable in the opinions of some test administrators. During the basic vehicle control skills test, a pull-up will be scored any time an applicant stops and pulls forward to gain a better position. Stopping without changing direction will not. An excessive number of pull-ups will count as errors.

4 . If the brake pads rub against the brake drums and create too much heat:

The air compressor will kick on to cool the brakes. Brakes heat up with use. If they are overused and become too hot, expansion and chemical changes will make them less effective and eventually cause them to stop working altogether. This is known as "brake fade."

5 . An Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS):

Helps to ensure control while braking. ABS increases a driver's control during braking. It will not necessarily change the distance needed for a vehicle to come to a complete stop.

6 . You may be denied a HazMat endorsement if:

You do not suffer from a mental illness. You will be denied a HazMat endorsement, or lose an existing endorsement, if you are not a lawful permanent U.S. resident; you renounce your U.S. citizenship; you are wanted for, under indictment for, or convicted of certain felonies; you are judged as mentally unstable or are committed to a mental institution; or you are deemed to pose a security threat by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

7 . Air tank drains:

Must remain open while driving. In an air brake system, the air storage tanks are equipped with drains to allow water and compressor oil to be removed. The water and oil can damage the brakes if left to accumulate in the system.
