Who is required to wear a helmet?

Any motorcycle operator or passenger under the age of 18 must wear a helmet that meets U.S. Department of Transportation standards. If the operator is required to wear a helmet, then any passenger must also wear a helmet, regardless of age. It is recommended that all riders wear helmets during every ride.
