Operators under the age of 21:

In Tennessee, anyone riding a motorcycle is required to wear a helmet that meets the standards for their age group. Operators under the age of 21 are required to wear helmets that meet U.S. DOT standards. There is an exception for riders age 18 and older who are operating a motorcycle in a parade at speeds of not more than 30 miles per hour.
