1 . When riding behind a car, you should:
When riding behind a car, you should position yourself so you can be seen in the other driver's rearview mirror. Riding in the center portion of the lane will generally ensure that you will appear in the middle of their rearview mirror, where the driver is most likely to notice you.
2 . A motorcyclist is well-protected if they are wearing:
For your protection while riding, it is best to wear a jacket and pants that cover your arms and legs completely. Boots or shoes should be tall and sturdy enough to cover and support your ankles. Footwear should have low heels that will not catch on the foot pegs or rough road surfaces. Gloves made of leather or another durable material will help protect your hands in the event of a crash while providing you with an improved grip on the controls.
3 . What are the four steps to safely completing a turn?
To safely complete a turn, a rider should slow, look, roll, and press. The rider should reduce their speed when approaching the turn and look through the turn to where they want to go. They should press the handle grip in the direction of the turn and roll on the throttle through the turn to stabilize suspension.
4 . What is the only way to reduce your blood alcohol concentration (BAC)?
The only method that effectively reduces your BAC is not drinking alcohol for a period of time. Coffee, exercise, and cold showers cannot reduce your BAC or change the effects of alcohol. They can help you remain awake, but they cannot change your BAC or make you sober.
5 . The posted speed limit shows:
A speed limit sign shows the maximum legal driving speed for the stretch of highway where it is posted. Driving safely may require you to travel more slowly than the posted limit. When conditions are less than ideal, drivers should slow down.
6 . The gear shift lever is located:
The gearshift lever is located in front of the left footrest and is operated by the left foot. To shift up to a higher gear, position your foot under the shift lever and lift. To downshift, press the shift lever down.
