FREE Kentucky DMV Practice Test #6 Page 4 of 5
The DMV practise tests in Kentucky have been updated for January 2024. It comprises questions based on the most important traffic signals and laws for 2024 from the KentuckyDriver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as knowledge from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official Kentucky DMV test.
You must properly answer 32 of the 40 questions to receive a passing mark. To help you prepare for your Kentucky instruction permit or driver's licence, take our DMV practise test.
The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.
25 . If the driver of an oncoming vehicle fails to dim their headlights:
If an oncoming driver fails to dim their headlights, look toward the right side of the road. This will keep you from being blinded by the other vehicle’s headlights and allow you to see enough of the road to stay on course. Do not try to retaliate by keeping your bright lights on.
26 . You are driving behind a motorcycle and want to pass. You must:
When passing a motorcycle, allow a full lane to the motorcycle. Never crowd into the same lane as the motorcycle. Returning to the original lane too soon can force a rider to swerve to the right and into traffic or off the road.
27 . Construction zone signs are generally:
All temporary signs in work zones have an orange background with black letters or symbols. These signs are found on the right side of the road, or on both the left and right sides if the roadway is a divided highway.
28 . This sign means:
All roads are slippery and dangerous when wet. This sign warns of conditions that can cause a driver to lose control of a car. A driver should slow down when coming upon wet pavement because it takes longer to stop.
29 . When a school bus is stopped ahead on your side of the road with its red lights flashing, you must:
The flashing overhead lights and stop arm on a school bus will be activated when the bus is stopped to load or unload students. If approaching a bus using these signals, you may not proceed until the red lights have stopped flashing and the stop arm has been retracted. Never pass a school bus that is dropping off or picking up students.
30 . Which of the following road surfaces freezes first?
Pavement on bridges and overpasses can become icy even when other surrounding pavement is dry. Bridges often freeze before, and thaw out after, the rest of a road.
31 . An orange and red triangular sign on a vehicle always means:
Slow-moving vehicles, such as farm tractors, road maintenance vehicles, and animal-drawn carts, display an orange and red triangle on the back.
32 . When you are driving on the interstate and see that another vehicle will be entering your lane from an entrance ramp, you should:
Make room for vehicles entering interstate highways. Whenever possible, change lanes to allow those entering to merge smoothly and safely.
