FREE Kentucky DMV Practice Test #8
The DMV practise tests in Kentucky have been updated for January 2024. It comprises questions based on the most important traffic signals and laws for 2024 from the KentuckyDriver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as knowledge from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official Kentucky DMV test.
You must properly answer 32 of the 40 questions to receive a passing mark. To help you prepare for your Kentucky instruction permit or driver's licence, take our DMV practise test.
The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.
1 . You should allow an extra cushion of space:
Drivers of trucks, buses, vans, or any vehicles pulling campers or trailers may not be able to see you if you are driving directly behind them. Increase your following distance when driving behind one of these vehicles. Additionally, large vehicles can block your view of the road, so increase your following distance to look around the sides of the vehicle and see the road ahead.
2 . Posters, signs, and stickers on the windshield and windows:
Obstructions on windows are prohibited. No sign, poster, or sticker may be placed on any window of any vehicle, unless it is specifically required by law to be on the vehicle's window.
3 . This bicyclist is signaling:
Bicycles do not have turn signals so bicyclists use hand and arm signals to alert other drivers to their intentions. If a bicyclist puts their left arm straight out, they are signaling that they intend to turn left.
5 . Which of these statements is true about driving and taking medications?
Remember that all medications, prescription or over-the-counter, are potentially dangerous and could impair your driving. Over-the-counter medicines that you take for colds and allergies can make you drowsy and affect your driving ability. It is your responsibility to know how your medication affects your ability to drive.
6 . Which of these statements is true about drinking alcohol and driving?
Being under the influence of alcohol affects your judgment. Good judgement is necessary to react appropriately to things that you see or hear while on the road. Even if you are below the legal blood alcohol limit, consuming any amount of alcohol is likely to affect your ability to drive safely.
7 . This road sign means:
This sign marks a one-way road, entrance, or exit. If you are facing this sign, traffic is coming toward you. Turn around if you are driving toward this sign.
8 . Under normal weather, road, and traffic conditions, maintain a minimum following distance of:
The more distance between your vehicle and others, the more time you will have to react if another driver makes a mistake. Maintain a minimum following distance of three seconds when driving under normal conditions. Increase your following distance when driving under unusual weather, road, or traffic conditions.
