FREE Kentucky DMV Practice Test #3
The DMV practise tests in Kentucky have been updated for January 2024. It comprises questions based on the most important traffic signals and laws for 2024 from the KentuckyDriver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as knowledge from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official Kentucky DMV test.
You must properly answer 32 of the 40 questions to receive a passing mark. To help you prepare for your Kentucky instruction permit or driver's licence, take our DMV practise test.
The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.
1 . When driving under low-visibility conditions due to fog, you should:
When driving in fog, you should slow down and use your low beam lights. If the fog is so dense that you cannot see, pull off the road and wait for the fog to clear.

Warning signs are usually yellow with black markings. This sign warns that the divided highway ends ahead. Prepare to change lanes or shift lane position.
3 . When a school bus is picking up or dropping off children, you must:
When approaching a school bus that is picking up or dropping off passengers, you must come to a complete stop before reaching the bus, regardless of your direction of travel.
4 . This road sign means:
Warning signs provide notice to road users of a situation that might not be readily apparent and are usually yellow with black markings. This warning sign tells drivers to be alert to an intersecting side road ahead.
5 . Trucks' blind spots are:
A truck's blind spots are much larger than a smaller car’s blind spots. The driver cannot see your car behind their vehicle and you can't see what’s happening in traffic ahead if you're driving too closely behind the truck. Whether you are driving behind or to the side of the truck, if you can’t see the driver’s face in their side view mirror, then they can’t see you.
6 . Blind spots are:
When changing lanes, look over your shoulder in the direction you plan to move. Check for obstructions near the rear corners of your vehicle. These areas are called “blind spots” because you cannot see them by using your mirrors.
7 . If your vehicle begins to skid, you should:
If your vehicle begins to skid, release the accelerator or brake pedal to regain vehicle balance. Steer in the direction of the skid to regain control of the vehicle.
8 . If you approach a traffic light with a red signal and a police officer directs you to go through the intersection without stopping, you should:
Instructions given by police officers directing traffic always override posted traffic signals and signs. Follow the officer's instructions.
