FREE Oregon DMV Practical Test Page 2 of 5
The practise exams for the Oregon DMV include questions based on the most important traffic signals and regulations from the Oregon Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Residents must have an Oregon driver's licence or learner's permit to operate a motor vehicle on any Oregon street or highway. Your eyesight will be tested by the DMV to ensure that you can see clearly enough to drive safely. The Oregon DMV written test will include questions about Oregon road rules, traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving practises, all of which will be based on the contents of the Oregon Driver's Manual. You must wait at least one day after failing your OR DMV knowledge test before taking it again.
There are 35 questions on the test, and you must get at least 28 accurate answers to pass (80 %). To prepare for the official Oregon DMV driver's licence test, practise with this sample DMV test and study the manual.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.
8 . A “No stopping” sign means that, unless directed to do so by a police officer, you may stop only:
A "No stopping" sign means you can only stop to obey a traffic signal, to obey a police officer, or to prevent a conflict with another vehicle.
9 . You experience an incident at work that has left you feeling angry. When you get to your car, you should:
Persons who are upset, angry, or otherwise distracted by their emotions should take time to cool off before driving a car. Taking out frustrations or anger while driving is exercising very poor judgment and is very dangerous to both the driver and others on the road.
10 . You may drive around or under a gate that is being lowered or raised at a railroad crossing:
Flashing red lights, lowered crossing gates, and/or bells at a railroad crossing mean that you must come to a complete stop. You must not go across the tracks until the lights and bells have stopped and the crossing gates are completely up. Do not drive around or under a gate that is moving up or down.
11 . Which statement about speed is true?
As speed increases, the chance of a fatality increases. If you are moving faster than 80 miles per hour, you have almost no chance of living through a crash. Driving more slowly than other traffic can also be dangerous because other motorists may become impatient and make dangerous moves to pass you.
12 . This sign means:
![This sign means:](https://dmv-practice-test.com/storage/images-car/washington-no_turn_to_the_right.png)
A sign with a red circle and slash over a symbol indicates that the action represented by the symbol (in this example, a right turn) is not allowed.
13 . You are driving at night and a car is coming toward you. To help avoid blinding the other driver with your headlights, dim your lights when the other car is within:
Change to your low beam headlights when driving at night and an oncoming vehicle is within 500 feet of your vehicle.
14 . You are stopped in a line of vehicles waiting at a stop sign. If there is no cross traffic after the vehicles ahead have passed through the intersection, you:
You must always bring your vehicle to a complete stop and yield to approaching traffic before proceeding past a stop sign. Don't feel pressured by surrounding traffic to avoid making a complete stop.
