FREE Rhode Island DMV Practice Test #7 Page 4 of 4
The DMV practise exams in Rhode Island have been updated for January 2024. It comprises questions based on the most important traffic signals and laws for 2024 from the Rhode Island Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as knowledge from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official Rhode Island DMV test.
You must properly answer 21 of the 30 questions to receive a passing mark. Use the Rhode Island Department of Motor Vehicles' practise exam to help you prepare for your instruction permit or driver's licence.
The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.

Before passing, you must make sure the passing lane is clear and give the proper turn signal to show you are going to change lanes.

Instead, let the oncoming car pass, and then pass the bicyclist.
27 . The most important thing to remember about speed management and curves is that you must:
The most important thing to remember about driving in curves is that your vehicle’s inertia may make it difficult to turn. To maintain control, it is essential that you slow down before entering the curve.
28 . If High Intensity Activated Crosswalk lights are black, it means:
HAWK signals are used at pedestrian crossings. If the lights on the signal turn black, drivers should proceed past the crosswalk with caution.
29 . This sign means:
Warning signs are used to warn drivers about upcoming hazardous conditions and are usually yellow with black markings. This sign warns drivers that an upcoming bridge may be too narrow to meet or pass a truck and that they should be careful.
30 . Motorcycles, scooters, and mopeds are not easy to see; therefore, you should:
Motorcycles can be easily hidden in a vehicle’s blind spot or missed in a quick look due to their small size. Drivers of cars must always be alert and looking for motorcycles, mopeds, and scooters.
