FREE Ohio DMV Practice Test #4 Page 4 of 5
The practise exams for Ohio's DMV have been revised for January 2024. It comprises questions based on the most important traffic signals and laws for 2024 from the Ohio Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as knowledge from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official Ohio DMV test.
You must properly answer 35 of the 40 questions to receive a passing mark. To help you prepare for your instruction permit or driver's licence, take this practise test from the Ohio Department of Motor Vehicles.
The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.
25 . If you are involved in a serious motor vehicle crash:
If you are involved in a crash, move your vehicle off of the road and stop, if possible. If anyone is injured, call 911 and provide appropriate help. You must report the crash to law enforcement if there is an injury, a death, and/or more than $1,000 in property damage (or more than $200 worth of damage made to non-vehicle government property, such as signs or guardrails).
26 . Is it legal cross a double solid yellow centerline to pass?
Two solid yellow lines down the center of a two-way road mean that neither lane of traffic may cross the lines, unless they are turning off of the roadway. A driver can cross double yellow lines when turning into or out of a driveway or entrance to a business. No passing is allowed over a solid yellow line.
27 . Your vehicle strikes an unattended parked vehicle and you cannot locate the vehicle’s owner. You:
Upon striking an unattended vehicle, stop and try to locate the owner. If you cannot find the owner, leave a written notice containing your name, your address, and the circumstances of the accident.
28 . In bad weather, increase your following distance to:
The more distance between your vehicle and others, the more time you have to react to their actions. Keep a minimum following distance of four or five seconds during poor weather and traffic conditions.
29 . This sign means:
Warning signs are used to warn drivers about upcoming hazardous conditions and are usually yellow with black markings. This sign warns drivers that an upcoming bridge may be too narrow to meet or pass a truck and that they should be careful.
30 . This sign means:
This sign provides advance warning that bicycles may be present.
31 . Where is parking prohibited?
Drivers should not park on top of a crosswalk, on a highway bridge, or in a tunnel. Drivers should only park where it is legal to do so and where other drivers can clearly see their stopped vehicle.
32 . If you are driving so slowly that traffic is backing up behind you, you should:
Driving more slowly than the flow of traffic can be hazardous. If you are on a two-lane, two-way road and driving so slowly that traffic is backing up behind you, you are required to pull off the road and let the other vehicles pass. Only drive significantly under the speed limit when conditions require it.
