FREE Minnesota DMV Practice Test #22
The Minnesota DMV practise examinations have been updated for January 2024. It includes questions based on the Minnesota Driver Handbook's most essential traffic signals and laws for 2024. Use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam to study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
On the practise exam, each question gets a tip and explanation to help you remember the concepts. The written component of the official Minnesota DMV test will include questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as knowledge from the Driver Handbook.
To obtain a passing grade, you must correctly answer 32 of the 40 questions. To help you prepare for your instruction permit or driver's licence, take our Minnesota DMV practise test.
The DMV exam is available in several languages.
Using any kind of testing assistance will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take additional action against your driver's licence, so stay away from it.
1 . Do not pass:
You should never pass if there is an oncoming vehicle in the passing lane, if your view is blocked by a curve or hill, at an intersection, before or on a railroad crossing or bridge, or in any other no passing zone. Unless you are on the opposite side of a multilane roadway with a median or shared center turn lane, you may not pass a stopped school bus that has its flashing red lights activated.
2 . Which is not a factor in determining the distance that it takes to stop your vehicle?
The distance required to stop your vehicle depends on perception time, reaction distance, and braking distance. This changes with speed and road conditions.
3 . When approaching a roundabout, you should always:
When approaching a roundabout, slow down. A roundabout is designed to be driven at a low speed. If there are no other vehicles or pedestrians already within the roundabout, you may not need to come to a complete stop before entering.
4 . When passing on a multilane highway:
Before passing, you must make sure the passing lane is clear and give the proper turn signal to show you are going to change lanes.
5 . This road sign means:
This sign indicates a merge ahead. It warns that two lanes of traffic moving in the same direction are about to become one.
6 . The driver's left arm and hand are extended downward. This hand signal means that the driver plans to:
If a driver's left arm and hand are extended downward, they are indicating that they intend to stop. Adjust your driving accordingly if following a driver who is using this hand signal.
7 . A yellow and black diamond-shaped sign:
Warning signs, which tell you about conditions on or near the road ahead, are usually diamond-shaped with black symbols or words on a yellow background.
8 . What happens if you drink alcohol while taking prescription or over-the-counter medicine?
Consuming alcohol and other drugs together can increase the impairing effects of both. For example, having one drink while you are also using a cold remedy could affect you as much as several drinks would when being consumed separately from any medications.
