FREE Mississippi DMV Practice Test #11 Page 2 of 4
The Mississippi DMV practise exams for January 2024 have been updated. It comprises questions based on the most important traffic signals and legislation for 2024 from the Mississippi Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as knowledge from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official Mississippi DMV test.
You must properly answer 24 of the 30 questions to receive a passing mark. Take this Mississippi DMV practise exam to help you prepare for your instruction permit or driver's licence.
The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.
9 . When turning left at an intersection:
When turning left at an intersection, yield the right-of-way to oncoming traffic and pedestrians. Once the intersection is clear and applicable signals allow, you may complete the turn.

This sign warns of a reverse curve in which the road curves to the right, then to the left.
11 . If you have a sudden tire blowout:
If a tire suddenly goes flat while you are driving, hold the steering wheel tightly and keep the vehicle moving straight. Slow down gradually by taking your foot off the gas pedal and using the brakes lightly.
12 . Before you change lanes, you should check your mirrors and:
Before changing lanes, it is very important to check behind you. You should look over your shoulder to ensure that you are not getting in the way of vehicles in the lane you want to enter. Before changing lanes, you should also ensure that no drivers are attempting to drive into the same spot from a different lane.
13 . "No passing zone" signs tell drivers:
If you come across a "No passing zone" sign, it is not legal to pass in the indicated area. You are likely driving in an area with restricted visibility where it would be unsafe to pass another vehicle.
14 . You see pedestrians near the road. You should:
Watch for any pedestrian who may cross your path. If you see pedestrians near the road where you are driving, slow down and be prepared to stop, if necessary.
15 . Stopping distances and severity of crashes:
Stopping distances are longer and crashes are more severe when traffic travels at higher speeds.
16 . When turning left from a two-way street onto a one-way street, you should:
When making any turn, turn from the lane closest to the direction you wish to travel into the first available legal lane. On a turn from a two-way to a one-way street, this means you should turn into the first lane.
