FREE Alaska DMV Motorcycle Practice Test 2024 Page 2 of 4
The Motorcycle Test for Alaska is now available. Anyone seeking a motorcycle endorsement in Alaska should complete this test, which has questions that address the knowledge offered in the State of Alaska Motorcycle Operator Manual. To pass this test, you must have thoroughly read and understood the Alaska Motorcycle Operator Manual. Some of the questions will focus on road safety, while others will focus on motorcycle riding. Each question will have four options from which to select. Select the response you believe is most appropriate. There is just one valid response. Read the hint provided with each question if you're having problems answering it. The suggestion may assist you in eliminating some possibilities or directing you in the appropriate route. It's critical to note that there are no suggestions on the Alaska state exam. If you select the correct answer, you will proceed to the next question. If you select the erroneous response, the correct answer, along with an explanation, will be presented. This motorbike permit practice test will include 25 questions, and you must answer 20 of them correctly to pass. If you pass this practice exam, it is not a guarantee that you will pass the state exam.
7 . Brightly-colored helmets:
Choosing a brightly-colored helmet is recommended. Not only will the helmet protect you in the case of a crash, but the bright color of the helmet will help other road users see you.
8 . When braking:
You should always use both brakes every time you slow or stop.
9 . Which of the following will help you ride safely on slippery surfaces?
When riding on slippery surfaces, reduce your speed, brake using both brakes, and avoid sudden moves. Avoid the center of the lane and instead follow tire tracks left by cars. Always keep an eye out for hazards that may make a road surface especially slippery, such as oil spots and loose gravel.
10 . Some motorcyclists argue that riders should not travel on the center strip of a lane because:
Due to the strip of oil drippings from cars, some riders choose to avoid the center portion of a lane. However, this portion of a lane still usually provides enough traction for motorcyclists to ride safely, unless the road is wet.
11 . When passing another driver, you should:
Get out of another vehicle's blind spot as quickly as possible. When passing another vehicle, you should move into the passing lane and accelerate past the vehicle.
12 . It may be unsafe to ride alongside a vehicle in the lane next to you because:
If you ride directly alongside a vehicle that is in the lane next to you, the driver may not see you because you are in their blind spot. They may begin merging into your path without knowing you are there. Additionally, if you are directly next to another vehicle, the vehicle will block your path of escape if a hazard should appear in your lane.
