FREE Hawaii DMV Practice Test | Driving License Permit test Hawaii 2024 #7 Page 2 of 5
This set of practise tests for the Hawaii DMV has been updated for January 2024. It includes questions based on the most important traffic signs and legislation for 2024 from the Hawaii Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as information from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official DMV test.
You must properly answer 24 of the 30 questions to receive a passing mark. To help you prepare for your Hawaii instruction permit or driver's licence, take our DMV practise test.
The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.
7 . If you need to drive in foggy weather:
You are required to use your headlights during the day when visibility is reduced to 500 feet or less. When you first turn on your headlights, be sure they are adjusted to the low beam setting. Using high beams in fog or rain will cause the light to reflect back into your eyes, lowering visibility even more.
8 . Your tire blows out while you are driving. You should:
If you experience a tire blowout, do not immediately apply the brakes. Grip the steering wheel firmly and steer to remain in your traffic lane. Reduce your speed gradually by releasing the accelerator and staying off the brakes. Once you are moving very slowly, apply the brakes lightly and pull off the road into a safe area.
9 . This sign means:
Warning signs prepare drivers for upcoming road conditions and hazards and are usually yellow with black markings. This sign warns drivers that they are approaching a winding road and that they should adjust their speed accordingly.
10 . You are driving on a multilane highway and wish to change lanes. You must signal your intentions:
Signals must be given for at least 100 feet before changing lanes or turning. This is approximately the length of five cars. It is advisable to signal for a greater distance when driving at higher speeds.
11 . This sign means:
A sign with a red circle and slash over a symbol indicates that the action represented by the symbol (in this example, a right turn) is not allowed.
12 . What is the only way to reduce your blood alcohol concentration (BAC)?
The only method that effectively reduces your BAC is to not drink alcohol for a period of time. Coffee, exercise, and cold showers cannot reduce your BAC or change the effects of alcohol. They can help you remain awake, but they cannot change your BAC or make you sober.
