FREE Hawaii DMV Practice Test | Driving License Permit test Hawaii 2024 #5
This set of practise tests for the Hawaii DMV has been updated for January 2024. It includes questions based on the most important traffic signs and legislation for 2024 from the Hawaii Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as information from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official DMV test.
You must properly answer 24 of the 30 questions to receive a passing mark. To help you prepare for your Hawaii instruction permit or driver's licence, take our DMV practise test.
The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.

If there is no stop line or crosswalk, you should stop at the point nearest to the intersecting roadway where you can get a view of approaching traffic. You should not enter the intersecting roadway to gain a better view.
2 . Traffic signals sometimes display arrows to control turns from specific lanes. A solid red arrow:
A solid red arrow in a traffic signal means the same thing as a circular red traffic light. When an arrow is red, traffic in the indicated lane must stop and may not turn in the direction that the arrow is pointing.
3 . When you park uphill on a street with a curb:
When parking on an incline where there is a curb, you should turn your wheels sharply to the left, away from the curb. This way, if your brakes fail, your vehicle will not roll into traffic.
4 . You have been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and have refused to take the required chemical test. You may lose your driver license for twelve months:
Any person operating a motor vehicle in Hawaii consents to having their blood alcohol content (BAC) tested when requested by law enforcement. Refusing to take a chemical test will result in the revocation of your license for a minimum of one year.
5 . Allowing a space cushion between your vehicle and its surroundings is important because it:
The only way to be sure you will have enough time to react to mistakes made by other drivers is to leave plenty of space between you and the vehicles around you.
6 . You are driving in the right lane of a multilane highway and want to move into the left lane. You should:
Before changing lanes, you should always verify that there are no other vehicles in the lane you want to enter by checking your mirrors and looking over your shoulder in the direction you plan to move. You should signal every time you change lanes.
