FREE Georgia DMV Practice Test #7 Page 2 of 5
This set of Georgia DMV practise tests has been updated for January 2024. It offers questions based on the Georgia Driver Handbook's most significant traffic signs and legislation for 2024. Use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam to study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
On the practise exam, each question gets a tip and explanation to help you remember the concepts. The written component of the official DMV test will include questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as information from the Driver Handbook.
To achieve the requisite passing grade, you must correctly answer 35 of the 50 questions. Take our DMV practise exam to help you prepare for your Georgia instruction permit or driver's licence.
The DMV exam is available in several languages.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.
9 . The best thing to do if you become tired while driving is to:
If you become tired while driving, it is best to stop to rest or change drivers. Being tired dulls your mind and slows down your reactions, making driving hazardous.
10 . This sign means:
This sign indicates that there is a yield sign ahead. You should begin to slow down when you see this warning sign.
11 . What should a driver do when approaching a traffic control signal that is not in operation?
When traffic control signals are not working, a driver must always treat the intersection as an all-way stop and come to a complete stop, unless otherwise directed by law enforcement. The driver must then look and yield the right-of-way before entering the intersection.
12 . When you are behind a motorcycle, you should:
When following a motorcyclist, allow for at least a three- to four-second following distance. Motorcycles can stop quickly and following them too closely endangers your life and that of the motorcyclist. If the motorcyclist should fall, you need extra distance to avoid the rider. The chances of a fall are greatest on wet and icy roads, gravel roads, and metal surfaces such as bridges, gratings, and streetcar or railroad tracks.
13 . Signs with orange backgrounds are:
The color orange is used only for construction and maintenance warning signs.
14 . What does this road sign mean?
Warning signs are usually yellow with black markings. This sign warns that merging traffic will be entering from the right, so drivers should prepare to allow the incoming traffic to safely merge.
15 . The best way to avoid a dangerous situation while driving is to:
Always be aware of what is happening around your vehicle. Constantly observing your surroundings to the front, sides, and rear of your vehicle will help you see problems that may require you to change speed or roadway position.
16 . You are driving on the freeway. The vehicle in front of you is a large truck. You should drive:
When you follow so closely behind a truck that you cannot see the truck driver’s side view mirrors, the trucker cannot see you and has no way of knowing you are there. Tailgating a truck, or any vehicle, is dangerous because you take away your own cushion of safety if the vehicle in front of you stops quickly.
