FREE Colorado DMV Practice Test #5 Page 3 of 4
This DMV practise tests for Colorado was just updated for January 2024. It includes questions based on the most important traffic signs and limitations from the Colorado Driver Handbook for 2024. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each practise test question provides a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about road rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as information from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official DMV test.
You must properly answer 20 out of 25 questions to receive the requisite passing grade. To help you prepare for your Colorado instruction permit or driver's licence, take our DMV practise test.
The DMV exam is accessible in a variety of languages.
Using a testing aid of any kind will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take additional action against your driver's licence, so don't do it.
13 . A person who drives much slower than the speed limit:
Driving more slowly than the flow of traffic can be hazardous. If you are on a two-lane, two-way road and driving so slowly that traffic is backing up behind you, you are required to pull off the road and let the other vehicles pass. Only drive significantly under the speed limit when conditions require it.
14 . When you need to change lanes, it is important to:
Always signal for an appropriate amount of time before making a lane change or exiting a freeway. Before you make any move to the right or left, quickly turn your head and look over your shoulder to see if your blind spot is clear.
15 . You must stop at a railroad crossing when:
You must stop at a railroad crossing when directed to do so by a flagger or stop sign. Stop when flashing red signals and gates are present and operating.
16 . This road sign means:
This sign indicates a low ground railroad crossing. Where this sign is present, railroad tracks cross the road at a steep slope and the bottom of low vehicles may drag or get caught on the tracks.
17 . Taking drugs along with alcohol:
Drugs (including illegal, prescription, and over-the-counter medications) can affect your brain function and impair your ability to drive safely. Combining alcohol with other drugs will increase the risk of a crash.
18 . Which of the following statements is true?
When passing, you must always signal at least 100 feet in advance of your lane change. Always check behind you in your mirrors and look over your shoulder to check your blind spot. Wait until you can see both headlights of the passed car in your rearview mirror before returning to your original lane.
