FREE Virginia DMV Practice Test #8 Page 5 of 5
The practise exams for the Virginia DMV have been updated for January 2024. It comprises questions based on the most important traffic signals and laws for 2024 from the Virginia Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as knowledge from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official Virginia DMV test.
You must properly answer 30 of the 35 questions to receive a passing mark. Use the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles' practise exam to help you prepare for your instruction permit or driver's licence.
The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.

32 . Roads freeze quickly when they are:
In cold or wet weather, you should take special care on sections of road that are shaded by trees or buildings. These areas freeze more quickly than the rest of the road and are the last parts of the road to dry.

Diamond-shaped signs warn drivers of existing or potential driving hazards. You will usually see these signs in yellow or orange.
34 . It is legal to transport children under age 16 in the bed of a pick-up truck if it is equipped with a camper shell.
It is illegal to transport children under the age of 16 in the bed of a pickup truck, even if it is equipped with a camper shell.
35 . The size of a motorcycle can cause you to misjudge the motorcycle's speed and distance. When pulling out into traffic:
You should never try to drive beside the motorcycle in the same lane. You should check twice for motorcycles before pulling out into traffic and always use extra caution when you do pull out in front of a motorcycle.
