FREE Virginia DMV Practice Test #15 Page 4 of 5
The practise exams for the Virginia DMV have been updated for January 2024. It comprises questions based on the most important traffic signals and laws for 2024 from the Virginia Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as knowledge from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official Virginia DMV test.
You must properly answer 30 of the 35 questions to receive a passing mark. Use the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles' practise exam to help you prepare for your instruction permit or driver's licence.
The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.

Alcohol is the number one killer on American roadways. Alcohol affects a person’s vision and slows their reaction time, so it takes longer to act in an emergency. Alcohol affects a person’s driving even if they are below the level of illegal intoxication.

If a traffic light at an intersection is not functioning due to a power outage, yield to other drivers in the same manner as you would when approaching a four-way stop. When it is your turn, proceed through the intersection with caution.
26 . If you are involved in a crash, you must:
If you are involved in a crash, you must stop at the scene (or as close to the scene as you can without blocking traffic), give any help you can if someone is injured, report the crash to the police as quickly as possible, exchange information with other people involved, and notify your insurance company immediately.
27 . The driver's left arm and hand are extended upward. This hand signal means that the driver plans to:
If a driver's left arm and hand are extended upward, they are indicating that they intend to turn right. Adjust your driving accordingly if following a driver who is using this hand signal.
28 . A court may suspend or revoke your driving privilege if you are convicted of:
A court may suspend or revoke a person's driving privilege if they are convicted of one of several offenses. Evading the police, failing to properly pay for gasoline, taking the licensing exam for another person, or making a false statement to the DMV can result in license suspension or revocation.
