FREE Kansas DMV Practical Test Page 2 of 3
In Kansas, the DMV practise tests include questions based on the Kansas Driver Handbook's most essential traffic signals and regulations. Use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam to study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
On the practise exam, each question gets a tip and explanation to help you remember the concepts. The written component of the official Kansas DMV test will include questions about traffic rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as information from the Driver Handbook.
To obtain a passing grade, you must correctly answer 20 of the 25 questions. Take our DMV practise exam to help you prepare for your Kansas instruction permit or driver's licence.
The DMV exam is available in several languages.
Using any kind of testing assistance will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take additional action against your driver's licence, so stay away from it.

10 . Which of the following describes the thinking of defensive drivers?
Driving defensively means anticipating potential errors made by others and preparing to compensate for their mistakes.

Rubbernecking (the practice of slowing down to look at collisions or other out-of-the-ordinary things) contributes to traffic congestion and should be avoided.
12 . Continuous hard braking on ice and snow often:
Continuous hard braking on snow and ice can result in the locking of the front brake, causing a loss of steering. To avoid the need for excessive braking, make sure to maintain an appropriate speed for conditions.
13 . If you see a flooded roadway ahead:
Do not drive through flooded areas. If you see a flooded roadway ahead, turn around and find another route to your destination.
14 . When stopped at a red traffic light with a green arrow, you may proceed in the direction of the arrow if you:

Downward-facing triangular signs mean drivers must yield. When approaching a yield sign, slow down to a speed that is reasonable for existing conditions and stop if necessary. If you must stop, do so at a marked stop line, if it exists.
16 . A vehicle suddenly cuts in front of you, creating a hazard. What should you do first?
If a vehicle merges in front of you too closely, take your foot off of the accelerator. This will create space between you and the vehicle ahead without requiring you to slam on your brakes or swerve into another lane.
