FREE Oregon DMV Practical Test Page 2 of 5
The practise exams for the Oregon DMV include questions based on the most important traffic signals and regulations from the Oregon Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Residents must have an Oregon driver's licence or learner's permit to operate a motor vehicle on any Oregon street or highway. Your eyesight will be tested by the DMV to ensure that you can see clearly enough to drive safely. The Oregon DMV written test will include questions about Oregon road rules, traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving practises, all of which will be based on the contents of the Oregon Driver's Manual. You must wait at least one day after failing your OR DMV knowledge test before taking it again.
There are 35 questions on the test, and you must get at least 28 accurate answers to pass (80 %). To prepare for the official Oregon DMV driver's licence test, practise with this sample DMV test and study the manual.
Using any form of testing help will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take further action against your driver's licence, so avoid it.
8 . Which of the following best ensures your safety and the safety of those around you when you are backing your vehicle?
Backing requires extra caution because it is difficult for drivers to see behind their vehicles. Before entering a vehicle to back up, walk to the back of the vehicle to check for children and small objects.
9 . Distracted driving is:
Distracted driving is extremely risky behavior that puts not only you and your passengers in danger, but also endangers pedestrians, bicyclists, and other motorists sharing the road. Focused attention on driving helps to prevent crashes.
10 . If you are driving so slowly that traffic is backing up behind you, you should:
Driving more slowly than the flow of traffic can be hazardous. If you are on a two-lane, two-way road and driving so slowly that traffic is backing up behind you, you are required to pull off the road and let the other vehicles pass. Only drive significantly under the speed limit when conditions require it.
11 . A driver approaching a flashing red traffic signal must:
A flashing red light means that you must stop, yield to traffic and pedestrians, and go only when it is safe. At a railroad crossing, a flashing red light indicates that a train is approaching. Yield to the train, and go only when the lights have stopped flashing and all other active warning devices deactivate.
13 . This sign means:
This sign prohibits U-turns. Do not make a U-turn where this sign is posted.
14 . When must you yield to a stopped transit bus that is about to re-enter traffic?
You must yield to a stopped transit bus when the bus driver signals to re-enter a traffic lane and there is a flashing "Yield" sign on the back of the bus. Move over or slow down to allow the bus to safely merge back into moving traffic.
