FREE Delaware DMV Practice Test #8 Page 4 of 4
This set of DMV practise tests for Delaware was just updated for January 2024. It comprises questions based on the most important traffic signs and rules for 2024 from the Delaware Driver Handbook. To study for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each question on the practise exam has a tip and explanation to help you recall the ideas. Questions about road laws, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as information from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official DMV test.
You must properly answer 20 of the 25 questions to receive the required passing mark. To help you prepare for your Delaware instruction permit or driver's licence, take our DMV practise test.
The DMV exam is offered in a variety of languages.
Using any kind of testing assistance will result in an automatic fail, and the DMV may take additional action against your driver's licence, so stay away from it.
25 . When a school bus is stopped ahead on your side of the road with its red lights flashing, you must:
The flashing overhead lights and stop arm on a school bus will be activated when the bus is stopped to load or unload students. If approaching a bus using these signals, you may not proceed until the red lights have stopped flashing and the stop arm has been retracted. Never pass a school bus that is dropping off or picking up students.
26 . When should you yield your legal right-of-way?
Never assume other drivers will give you the right-of-way. Yield your right-of-way whenever it helps prevent collisions.
27 . Which of the following driving skills are affected by the use of alcohol and/or drugs?
Any amount of alcohol acts as a depressant, slowing the function of the nervous system. It will reduce a person's alertness and ability to concentrate, increase their reaction time, and drastically reduce their coordination.
28 . From top to bottom, the following is the proper order for traffic lights:
Warning signs are usually yellow with black markings. They alert you to conditions that are immediately ahead. This sign warns drivers about the presence of traffic signals at an intersection ahead.
29 . A green arrow displayed on a traffic light means:
If a traffic signal is displaying a green arrow, traffic in the indicated lane should proceed in the direction shown by the arrow. Traffic turning on a green arrow has the right-of-way, but drivers should still be cautious of pedestrians and other vehicles that may be in the intersection.
30 . A driver should:
Although the right-of-way rules provide a guide to determine who should yield the right-of-way at an intersection, no one should assume they automatically have the right-of-way. The situation and circumstances at an intersection must always be considered. Drivers should yield their legal right-of-way if it can help prevent a collision.
