FREE Arizona DMV Practice Test #14 Page 2 of 4
This DMV practise tests for Arizona was just updated for January 2024. It includes questions based on the most important traffic signs and restrictions from the 2024 Arizona Driver Handbook. To prepare for the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam, use actual questions that are very similar (often identical!) to the DMV driving permit test and driver's licence exam.
Each practise test question offers a recommendation and explanation to help you remember the topics. Questions about road rules, traffic signs, and driving statutes, as well as information from the Driver Handbook, will be included in the written portion of the official DMV test.
You must properly answer 24 out of 30 questions to receive a passing grade. To help you prepare for your Arizona instruction permit or driver's licence, take our DMV practise test.
The DMV exam is accessible in a variety of languages.
Using a testing aid of any kind will result in an automatic failure, and the DMV may take additional action against your driver's licence, so don't do it.
9 . Your license can be suspended if you are under 21 and drive with a blood alcohol level of:
There is zero tolerance for alcohol use by drivers under age 21. If you are under 21, the detection of any trace of alcohol in your system will result in stiff penalties, including the suspension of your license for two years.
10 . Excessive speed:
Excessive speed is one of the most common contributing factors to vehicle crashes. Excessive speed does not save time and often leads to high-risk decision-making.
11 . A school bus is stopped ahead of you in your lane with its red lights flashing. You should:
When a stopped school bus is using its flashing red lights, approaching drivers must stop and remain stopped until the lights stop flashing. If the school bus is on the opposite side of a divided highway, drivers do not need to stop.
12 . This sign means:
Signs with a red circle and diagonal line over a black symbol indicate that the action represented by the symbol is prohibited. In this case, the sign indicates that left turns are prohibited.
13 . A vehicle suddenly cuts in front of you, creating a hazard. What should you do first?
If a vehicle merges in front of you too closely, take your foot off of the accelerator. This will create space between you and the vehicle ahead without requiring you to slam on your brakes or swerve into another lane.
14 . When you are facing a green light and there are pedestrians in the intersection:
When facing a green light, you must yield to pedestrians and vehicles already in the intersection. Drivers must yield to pedestrians when turning on a steady green signal.
15 . If you come upon a severe dust storm, you should:
If you encounter a severe dust storm, you should immediately check traffic around your vehicle, begin slowing down, drive completely off the highway and stop as far to the right as possible (taking care not to stop in the travel lane or emergency lane), turn off your lights, take your foot off the brake, stay in the vehicle with your seat belt(s) buckled, and wait for the dust storm to pass.
16 . If the roadway is wet or icy, you should:
Because your tires will not grip the road under wet, snowy, or icy conditions as well as they will under dry conditions, you should slow down if the roadway is wet or icy.
