FREE Washington DMV Motorcycle Practice Test 2024
This is a free practice test for the Washington Motorcycle License. This free practice test is recommended for anyone studying for a Washington Motorcycle Endorsement. Read the Washington Motorcycle Operators Manual carefully before taking our test. The material in the manual is used to answer all of the test questions. Similar to the Washington state exam, our practice exam features multiple-choice questions. There are four alternative answers to each question, but only one of them is correct. Use our hint tool if you need assistance with a tough question; however, tips are not available on the state exam. We'll proceed to the next question once you've selected the correct answer. We'll explain why you chose the incorrect response and which was correct. Investigating the problems you're having is a smart idea. This practice test can be taken as many times as you wish. You will pass the test if you answer correctly at least 20 of the 25 questions.
1 . During the day, you should:
You should always have your headlight on when riding, even during the day. This can make you twice as likely to be noticed by other drivers.
2 . When riding downhill or shifting into first gear, you may need to:
Before shifting into a lower gear, make sure you are riding slowly enough to shift safely. Downshifting while going too fast may cause the motorcycle to lurch and the rear wheel to skid. When riding downhill or shifting into first gear, you may need to use the brakes to slow to a safe speed before downshifting.
3 . A leather jacket:
For your protection, you should wear a long-sleeved jacket, ideally made of leather, when riding. In warm weather, a leather jacket can help protect you against dehydration. Many motorcycle jackets are designed to help keep you cool even when the weather is hot.
4 . When preparing to pass a vehicle on the left, it is important to ride on the left side of your lane because:
When preparing to pass on the left, you should ride in the left portion of your lane. This lane position will increase your line of sight and make your more visible to oncoming traffic.
5 . When passing a row of parked cars, a motorcycle operator should be prepared for:
When passing a row of parked cars, a motorcyclist should be prepared for a parked car to suddenly pull out of a parking space and into traffic. It is often safest for a motorcyclist to ride in the left portion of their lane when passing a row of parked cars on their right to create the most possible space between their motorcycle and any potential hazards.
